Three more favorites of mine

Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West
When I was told Good News... wasn't an accurate repesentation of Modest Mouse, I was intrigued. Well, not really, seeing how it took me a fucking month to actually download The Lonesome Crowded West. Man, I was missing out on so much. The opening track Teeth Like God's Shoeshine is erratic, noisy, and a representation of what to expect from the rest of the album. Best Tracks: Trailer Trash, Heart Cooks Brain, Cowboy Dan, Convenient Parking,
Lounge (Closing Time)
oh my god elephant - Five Song EP(?)
"Real" emo with math-rock undertones. That's all I can say about them, besides "FUCK YEAH". Oh, and they changed their name to Rainbow Tornado. Best Tracks: Dan Dan Dan Dan, Evan Tuckerman

Ape Up! - Demo '09

Judging by the title of the band and the cover of the album, you'd think the guys behind Ape Up! are total assholes. I guess that's plausible, but their demotape (released earlier this year) is really good. I believe the singer is the same bro behind Snowing (I don't really know, all I have to go off of them is their MySpace page), so you can expect God-tier vocals. Top tracks: Two Tickets to Stink Town, Nice Marmot, Rudich Ranch

Andrew Jackson Jihad

Andrew Jackson Jihad - Can't Maintain
Link

For me AJJ is one of the only folk-punk artist worth giving two shits about, the irony in his songs are enough to give you blog-reading-hipsters eargasms. IF THAT'S WHAT GETS YOUR DICK HAAARD! Best Tracks: Heartilation, Who Are You?, Sense, Sensibility, We Didn't Come Here To Rock.

15 Tracks of Meaty Goodness

Damn it Pixies, it's hard not to love you guys. Seriously though, the Pixies are one of the few groups /mu/ universally agrees is good. To me this is their greatest album, which is hard to say considering they made motherfucking Doolittle and Surfer Rosa. tl;dr version: Download this if you like music

Gym Class, 2002

Ah, Gym Class. What's to say about it that hasn't already been said? Be it skinny and weak or fat and slow, you're getting screwed by some douchebag coach that eats donuts and Twinkies whilst you work your ass off. Here's how to simulate the true P.E. experience:
1. Punch yourself in the balls
2. Put on something comfortable
3. Get really sweaty
4. Take some downers
5. Do jumping jakcs in your bathroom
6. Listen to these albums
7.Wonder why you're better than everyone else

Look at this album cover. LOOK AT IT. The cover alone is enough to persuade you to download this. Unless you get the censored version. The Butthole Surfers (or B***H***Surfers if you download the censored version) have been around for nearly 30 years, and their latest performance in Austin, Texas on Halloween maybe their last (sniffsniffsob). They were a bunch of rascals that took LSD and made psychedelic rock. They also starred in a short film that featured a little kid flipping his dad off, a car-fucking hillbilly, and cannibalism. ElectricLarryLand is their seventh album and with (GASP) 500,000 copies sold it's the only RIAA certified album, mainly due to the single "Pepper", which topped the Billboard Top 40 chart. FUCKING SELLOUTS KUYBUHWEBCWCEWCW OMG. But yeah, this is psychedelic rock at its finest. If you aren't sure about this then just listen to Pepper and Jingle of a Dog's Collar on YouTube.

Here's their short film. WHAT THE HELL

I drew this on the bus ride home

The usual America's youth is full of fucking sheep agenda.
Click on the picture to download the brilliant Four Minute Mile by The Get Up Kids. It's 90's emo, and erase all negative connotations about the "emo" genre in your head, it used to be good (and still is if you know where to look) and not bullshit like Fallout Boy or My Chemical Romance.
British busdrivers are awesome. Just sayin'

The crunkcore kid is saying "Yo freaks! We just got signed to Myspace Records! Buy all of our singles from iTunes!"

The parentheses read: The band topped the Billbord's Top 40 Chart and went on to tour with Weezer.

Download these OSTs or you suck

I can't really explain them, but you really owe it to yourself to give these a shot.

A couple of favorites to break in the blog

Okay, this is kind of a guilty pleasure but I just love this album.

Tragically overlooked. I guess the best way to describe this is like indie (cringe) space pop.

Experimental-folk. The first playthrough it's sort of drab but when you give it another listen you'll laugh at the absurdity of it.

Synth-pop of the so-sweet-it's-depressing variety. The voice is just amazing.
